[NOTE:  Although intended for routing to schools, SWTC, & CESA #3,
in a pinch, it can be substituted to route items to SWLS Member Libraries.]

* Please use blue paper when making copies of these routing slips.

  • Wisconsin library systems
  • State agencies
  • Correctional institutes

Guidelines for Intersystem Routing Labels

Traditional PINK label

When using the PINK label, check the Wisconsin Libraries' Delivery Service Network List at http://psw.scls.lib.wi.us/delivery/
subdepartments/shipping.html#route
to see if the receiving library is a member of the Intersystem Delivery Network.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If the receiving library is NOT a memberof the network,you will need to
use another means of shipment, ie: US Postal Service or
a commercial parcel/courier service.

What about Envelopes?

A routing label is not required for envelopes.

However, DO cross out previous destinations on
previously-used envelopes.

Guidelines for Attaching Routing Labels &
Bundling Materials with Rubber Bands

Using Removable Tape...


...tape both ends of the routing label directly to the material,like so....  
...and then apply the
"Rubber Band Wrap"
like so....

All materials in a bundle must be for the same library.

Secure Routing Labels
&
Library Ownership

Make sure the routing label is firmly attached to the item.

If the routing label is lost in transit,
the library's ownership tag becomes the routing label.

Cardboard Boxes Use REGULAR SCOTCH TAPE when attaching a routing label to cardboard boxes, AND CROSS OUT any previous destinations.
